On line Tuition

The availability of high speed Internet connectivity means that on line tuition is now a really viable alternative to traditional face to face sessions.
To use on line tuition you only need a PC or tablet with sound capabilities. Using a headset works better than relying on the microphone and loudspeakers that are built into your device. A webcam will allow me to see you. You also require a broadband connection with a speed of at least 500kbit/s.
My preferred method for tutoring on line is to use a combination of Zoom and a shared white board tool called Miro. This tool runs within your Internet browser so is easy and fast to set up. It allows us to share a white board and documents while Zoom provides the video and audio link so we can see and talk to each other.
